The conference will include leadership and professional communication workshops to help students develop their public speaking, argumentation, interviewing, social networking, multimedia presentation, and essay writing skills.

In addition, students are welcome to attend the Civics in Action executive leadership meeting. This gathering involves planning for future academic conferences, school and community leadership development programming, and participation in CivAc initiatives, including extracurricular program administration, photojournalism, voter registration, and healthy eating projects.
